Want to become a long-term foster carer in the Northeast area?

Long term fostering is also known as permanent fostering or extended fostering and allows foster carers the opportunity to care for a child or young person for an extended period of time. It is a big commitment to care and foster families often provide a stable and nurturing environment for the child in their care, right up to adulthood. It can in many ways, be similar to adoption, and you can find out more about that here (fostering vs adoption).

At Orchard Care Fostering, we strive to find good long-term foster care for all the children in the system that need it. Often there are circumstances where the child is not able to be reunited with their biological family, and finding a long-term solution that helps them thrive is extremely rewarding. The goal of long-term fostering is to offer a more permanent and lasting family environment for the child in care when adoption is not feasible or appropriate.
