You could make a unique and transformative difference in a young person’s life with fostering.
We care for you so you can care for children

Fostering with us gives you the opportunity to make a huge difference to a child’s life. Many of the children we work with have had unhappy experiences. Many more have been let down time and time again by the care system that was built to support them.

With the help of Orchard Care Fostering, you can support and enable a young person with opportunities to thrive, develop and achieve. Our highly trained, experienced and caring team will in turn support you, with advice, practical help, expert knowledge, and open lines of communication. We will show you that we care about you and the challenges you face - so that, together, we can transform foster children's lives for the better. Our stability rate is 98% for young people, of which we are extremely proud.

At Orchard Care Fostering, emphasis is placed on the essentials of warmth, shelter, food, clothing, human contact, concern, and interest. We offer an expression of our humanity as a base line for how we believe care should be. Through time, our children can learn that there are certain things which are measures of healthy relationships and basic rights in life. Our mixture of compassion, care and dedication, is a key part of our approach.

Explore the different types of fostering that you could help provide

Sibling
Fostering

An important type of foster care with placements that allow for siblings (brothers and sisters) to remain together while in the foster care system.

Respite
Fostering

Carers that offer short-term fostering that specifically allows other foster carers or families to take a break or ‘breather’ from certain challenges.

Disability
Fostering

Providing foster care for a child or young person with complex needs, including those with medical conditions, physical disabilities, and developmental disabilities.

Fostering
Teenagers

Providing care and support for a teenager or young person to help them feel empowered and independent, whilst teaching them important life skills.

Long-term
Fostering

An alternative to adoption that still allows a child or young person to remain with the same foster family until they reach adulthood.

Emergency
Fostering

Providing immediate foster care, often with only a few hours’ notice. This type of fostering helps to enable the movement of a child to a safe environment quickly.

Short-term
Fostering

Occasionally a child or young person may only need short term foster care, and this help to allow successful reunions with family or adoptive parents.
