Summer Particpation Day at Whickham Thorns

We kicked off August with a spectacular day at Whickham Thorns Activity Centre in Gateshead. It was a day filled with laughter, teamwork, and a lot of fun. We were thrilled to see so many carers, young people, and staff members get involved, whether they were participating in the activities or cheering from the sidelines. Teamwork was the theme of the day,  everyone gave their all. We saw incredible encouragement as people pushed themselves to go higher on the crate stacking challenge, fly faster down the snow tube slope, and run for their lives during a high-energy game of laser tag. The bonds and camaraderie were a joy to witness. After all the excitement, the sun shone brightly on us, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy a well-deserved picnic lunch outdoors. It was a perfect way to refuel and share stories from the morning's adventures. Donna was there to capture every moment, from the triumphant cheers to the happy smiles.
