At Orchard Care Fostering, we pride ourselves on having a confident and proactive approach to everything we do. We believe that the best way to support the children and young people in our care is to ensure our staff and carers are fully informed, up to date, and equipped with the right tools.

Upcoming Training: Drug and Alcohol Awareness
We are pleased to announce that we have booked an upcoming training session with the County Durham Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service (Waythrough).
This specialist session is designed to help our carers and team confidently navigate conversations around substance awareness and health. In today’s world, having the ability to communicate openly and supportively about these topics is vital for building trust with young people.

Why This Matters
Our goal is simple: to ensure our carers never feel they are facing a challenge alone. By partnering with local experts like Waythrough, we ensure that:
Our carers feel confident in identifying when a young person might need extra support.
Communication remains open, allowing for honest and non-judgmental conversations.
Proactive care is at the forefront, helping to guide young people toward healthy and safe futures.
We look forward to seeing our team at this session!
